Christina Chemhuru

Founder And Visionary

Christina Chemhuru founded Friends of Ours Global after a simple road trip became a life-changing calling. With a BBA, MBA, early childhood education training, and a Master of Arts in Ministry, she blends practical leadership with deep faith. Walking through post-Helene communities, she could not ignore survivors still surrounded by collapsed homes and silence. Her response was to build a nonprofit that listens first, works through trusted local leaders, and shows up long after news cameras leave. Christina now travels into recovering communities, keeping relationships, transparency, and hope at the center of every project.

Highlights Of Our Journey

Stories, partnerships, and long-term projects revealing what faithful presence can rebuild together.

Trusted Local Partnerships

We listen to leaders like Sheila Barnwell, shaping every campaign around real neighbors' needs.

Focused On The Long Haul

Our work begins after headlines fade, when families are finally ready to rebuild.

Faith Guiding Every Step

Prayer, wisdom, and stewardship shape how we raise funds and serve each community.

Our Heart for Recovery

Friends of Ours Global is a San Antonio-based nonprofit founded in April 2025 by Christina Chemhuru, a business and ministry graduate. We support communities living in the long shadow of natural disasters, focusing on the months and years after emergency crews leave. Our faith-inspired, relationship-centered approach keeps survivors' stories visible and their practical needs clearly understood.

Called Into the Aftermath

Three months after Hurricane Helene, Christina followed God's quiet prompting into devastated towns, where collapsed homes and washed-out roads were matched only by a deeper ache, the fear of being forgotten. Friendships with local volunteers in places like Edneyville and Bat Cave revealed a clear need, steady, transparent support that arrives when families are housed, healing, and ready to receive comfort again.
